HISTORY OF THE CENTRE

On January 6th, 1986, the doors of the Centre opened to receive 6 children of varying ages in two renovated classrooms. We had 3 staff and a capacity of 24 children. Since then, our staff has grown to over 21 Educators and a licensed capacity of 134 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. We now have 7 classrooms and over 90 families using our facilities. Because we are located in the Port Hope High School, we have the advantage of working with and instructing co-op students during their placements. We offer a full range of programs- full day, half day, Before/after School, lunch supervision, PA days. Our Infant room opened in the fall of 2009 offering space for up to 10 Infant
